Since August 2021 the Communities Guild has kept Celo's Discord, Telegram, Reddit, and X spaces safe, active, and coordinated with regional HUBs. Season 2 (Jan to Jun 2026) delivered against every KPI while operating fully autonomously.
Season 3 covers July to December 2026 with the same 4-person team and the same scope, at a leaner budget: 37,600 USDm + 10,000 CELO gross, minus 2,841 USDm and 53,569 CELO carried over from Season 2. That is a 41% reduction versus the Season 2 request.
The ask, denominated in CELO because the Community Fund holds CELO: 551,000 CELO. Priced at the lower of current spot ($0.0643) and 90-day average ($0.074), plus a 10% volatility buffer. Anything unused at year-end returns to the Community Fund or reduces Season 4.

Moderation. 24/7 coverage kept across Discord, Telegram (main plus regional and language channels), and Reddit. Code of Conduct enforced consistently, spam and scam attempts handled without escalations.
Community programs. Bi-weekly Community Hangout calls on Discord. Ongoing Guild.xyz quest campaigns and Community Steward rewards. X presence via @CeloCommunities.
Ecosystem coordination. Regular collaboration with the Celo Foundation, cLabs, CeloPG, and the Celo Regional Council to keep information flowing between global and regional teams.
Transparency. Monthly reports published in the Communities Guild reports thread. Every spend logged in the Detailed Spending Records spreadsheet, reconcilable against the Safe's on-chain history.
Autonomy. Second full season operating self-managed, confirming the model established in H1 2025.

The Community Fund holds CELO, so the final on-chain request is denominated in CELO. We price at the lower of current spot ($0.0643) and 90-day trailing average ($0.074), then add a 10% volatility buffer. Applying the carryover CELO against the USDm need lands the on-chain ask at 551,000 CELO.
Same as prior seasons, this number may be refreshed to the executable rate at the moment the CGP goes on-chain. Anything realised above the gross budget returns to the Community Fund.
